PS3 is still important!

Kenji Matsubara, the CEO of newly formed Tecmo Koie Europe, is confused by Activision while also apparently having the inside track on what the company is up to. Speaking in a recent interview with regard to Activision's Bobby Kotick threatening withdrawal from Sony support, Mr Matsubara said, "I'm not sure what Activision means in those comments, but Activision sees that the PS3 is a very important platform."

A mistranslation? Does Mr Matsubara mean "we see the PS3 is a very important platform"? Or is he speaking for Activision? See the full interview here.

So, aside from not understanding Activision, what is TecKoEurope plan - given that it's bringing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 exclusively to PS3?

"So from a publisher or developer's view, focussing on a single platform is very risky. Instead we have to focus on providing every title for every platform. That's a key standpoint for Tecmo Koei."

Fair enough.
