Xbox 360's Shane Kim: Half a Million New Members Every Month
He knew the recession was coming.
Posted 10 Jul 2009

Microsoft's Shane Kim has been speaking in numbers, and they are huge numbers. In a recent interview he has stated that,"We knew the recession was coming, but we are now adding 500,000 new members to our online games service each month."
That's right, six million new members a year coming to Xbox Liv... oh, no; Shane never said 'to Xbox Live'. He is very careful to have said, "our online game servers".
Bear in mind that Kim's job title is: (breathe in) Corporate Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Interactive Entertainment Business... (breathe out.)
So, when he says 'our online game servers', we have to think about Windows Live and, of course, Solitaire.

There is a typo... In the second paragraph you say 'our online game servers', but the quote reads 'online games service'

Plus Solitaire isn't an online game service...
