Will Flower Dev Move to Natal?

Third project in the works

thatgamecompany, the developer behind Flower and flOw, is working on a third, unannounced game - one that looks likely to be for Sony's PS3. Following that, however, we could see the studio moving to work on a project for the Xbox 360's Natal.

Speaking at Develop studio co-founder, Jenova Chen, said TGC will have to "rethink" its direction. "Seems the future is coming much faster than I expected", he acknowledged, apparently referring to Project Natal and the PS3 motion controller.

While that leaves the platform of TGC's fourth game very much in the air, the third title will be most likely be on the PS3. Chen lavished praise on Sony's support of his studio, saying, "They still keep funding our project, and that's really, really nice. It's a really pleasant experience.

"They have this appreciation of games that are more interesting to adults. They prefer adult entertainment and the games we make are a good match for them.".

Details on that third game are sparse, but Chen said that it will be "a totally different game", but one that "feels like a natural progression" for his company.

He went on to say "[It's] definitely something you've never experienced before."

So far the company's strategy for naming games seems to be adding letters to the name of its last game - we got flOw then Flower - maybe the third project will be called OverFlower?

Overflower, hah. thats pretty bad. maybe Overflow though.

while personally i would like to see what they could do with a Natal game, i think its a bit unlikely. they seem to really love working with Sony on the ps3, and its unlikely that will change unless microsoft makes them a pretty generous offer. hell if sony were smart they would make thatgamecompany a first party developer. they certainly deserve it.

not likely, there was a recent article with them saying their 3rd game will be something completely different from the other 2 already on the PSN an their 4th game will most likely use the PS3's new motion controls

He's interested in Natal, but likely they could just make it using the PS EYE. Given that their games have so far focused on relaxation I don't think we'll be moving around too much which is probably an area where Natal is better than PS EYE.
