Modern Warfare 2 Ghosts into Comics
Plus: what a life-size Ghost looks like
Posted 17 Aug 2009

These days, if a game can legitimately claim to be a AAA title, it gets a comic. There's probably some new law about it or something. True to form (given that it's the most AAA of all 2009 games) Modern Warfare 2 is getting the treatment with a series going by the name of Modern Warfare 2: Ghost.
The comic will be released by DC's Wildstorm imprint, which has handled the likes of the [PROTOTYPE], Gears of War, World of Warcraft and Resistance comics. David Lapham (Batman: City of Crime, Daredevil Vs. Punisher: Means And Ends, and his own Stray Bullets) is attached to the project. He's at the very least plotting the comic, probably scripting it too and possibly drawing it, given that he both wrote and drew Stray Bullets.
This all comes from Infinity Ward's community manager, Robert Bowling, by way of Twitter.
The series will be served up in six parts. Details beyond that are scant, but we do have the cover art for the first issue for you to rub your eyeballs against.
Also, because it looks cool as all hell, have a look at the picture of a prototype, life-size Ghost statue.
