No details on exciting new PS3 though

Either someone at Kmart in the States as gone off their trolly with a major fanboy sacking offence or, as the huge retailer's site states, "The Rumours are Reality. New Low Price & A New Exciting PlayStation 3".

That's the banner on the front page. The detail is a little less exciting with no images of this exciting new PS3 to be seen. Instead we see stock clearance looking prices that have the 40Gb and 80Gb both priced at $399.99. The 160Gb model, with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune now costs $499.99.

As we say, less exciting. Amazon in the States has the 80Gb at $399.99 and the 160Gb at $449.99.

Oddly, Kmart's sister company, Sears, isn't showing the same thing.

So, in the lead-up to Gamescom, while Kmart's banner headline states that the the rumours are reality, the reality is yet to be actually realised.
