While Square Enix is being all positive in the direction of the PS3 Slim and its accompanying price cut, the company says it will be next fiscal year rather than this one that it feels the benefit.

Speaking to assembled reporters in Tokyo, Square president Yoichi Wada said, "In terms of the impact (the PS3 cut) will have on this financial year's earnings, I don't think there will be a major difference. But I expect there to be a big impact from next year."

Square's next fiscal year kicks off on April 1st next year.

No mention of what the definitely-certain-couldn't-possibly-not-happen Xbox 360 price cut will do for business.
