Japan: PS3 Sales Level Out Following Slimpact
Following the 1.4k% rise in PS3 sales based on the launch of PS3 Slim from a very, very low start, sales of the console in Japan have levelled out (or plummeted according to your fanboyism) according to Media Create figures.

The only console that was a smidgeon up in sales was the Xbox 360, with the Wii and PS2 also losing numbers week-on-week.

The previous set of figures showed that the launch of the Slim had resulted in 151,783 PS3s being sold in Japan during the (launch) week of August 31, 2009 - September 6. The latest sales figures show the following (previous week's in brackets).

Console
PS3: 55,344 (151,783)
Wii: 17,568 (21,557)
Xbox 360: 7,568 (6,827)
PS2: 2,612 (3,001)

Handheld
DSi: 66,498 (60,419)
PSP: 18,375 (22,184)
DS Lite: 11,179 (8,309)

Wow that is a big drop in figures! I hope the PS3 Slim sales get boosted when these new bundles are out.

I am always a big supporter of PS. I hope they can continue to gain greater market share in the console market. I think with more ps3 deals. This can be accomplished. I shall if that happens during the Christmas season.
