According to a report from Eurogamer, four retailers - Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, HMV and GAME - have marked the PSP Go down to £199. Some retailers, such as Argos, had priced the unit under RRP before launch (Argos for example is still selling the Go at £219.99), so perhaps this isn't so much a knee-jerk reaction to initial sales and more of a communal baulk at the prospect of not getting any real software sales.
SCEE said just yesterday that the PSP Go has been performing "in line with [its] expectations", but whether the sales lift experienced across the PSP range had more to do with the increasing developer support or the new digital-download model remains to be seen.

Also, where is the sense in "baulking" at not getting any real software sales, by reducing the price of the hardware, and thus cutting your own profit margin?
And finally, maybe Sony actually meant "performing in line with expectations" and the expectations it was referring to were not "its" but everyone else's... who largely expected this overpriced oddity to fall flat on its ass.
That's all I got.
