Ban this sick filth! This week's tinfoil hat wearing shenanigans comes from the Daily Star, who reckon that gamers buying the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Pack (you know, the one that's insanely priced with the goggles) are only doing so for 'stealth dogging' and 'spy on gay cruising spots'.

Apparently the negative tabloid news piece claims that obtaining the special edition game with pack-in Night Vision Goggles will transform "geeky computer game fans" into an "army of ogling pervs". How ironic.

The newspaper even gets 'game writer' Rob Watson to say "I shudder to think of someone who may have a hard time with reality anyway donning these goggles for real mischief - or even worse".

The funny thing is where exactly the 'stealth dogging' and 'gay cruising spy' claims come from. Two separate, tongue-in-cheek comments made on computer game sites.

One statement from VG247 says "[The goggles are] good enough for stealth dogging/cruising and I think that's all anyone really cares about", while a post on PS3Attitude declares "you can put these bad boys on and become the Peeping Tom you've always wanted to be".

Ah, the Internet. Glorious in its anonymity and misinterpretation of humour. We wonder if print will really ever 'get it' at this rate.
