First Sighting Of GT5 Packaging, Three Discs
Yamauchi considering putting Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on game cover.

Not the final box. Or even the box in the video, to be honest.
A new video from Mercedes-Benz has given us a sneak peek at the packaging for Gran Turismo 5, as the car company interviews developer Polyphony Digital on bringing its SLS AMG to the virtual race track. The box might not be the final product, but it does give some indication as to what we can expect to see on store shelves.
GTPlanet dug up the video, below, and noted at the size of the box, with what appear to be three Blu-Ray cases inside – a red, blue and black one. Why would the game need three Blu-Ray cases? What additional extras could Polyphony be planning? Let the rumours and theories commence!
In addition to the packaging, GTPlanet discovered some more tidbits of information; such as a single physics calculation model that automates handling characteristics when a car's parameters are entered, and that Polyphony head Kazunori Yamauchi is 'considering' using the SLS AMG on the cover of Gran Turismo 5. Nice.
See the video below. Note, the bit you want to find for the packaging shots is around 0:42.
