Xbox Live Silver members not normally privy to what Microsoft calls "the Gold way of life" will get one weekend of Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm on their console as part of Xtival.

The returning 'online festival' will take place from November 27th-29th. It's offering music in the form of a live gig from the US tour of DJ Tiesto, "the chance to download exerts from the forthcoming Metallica DVD through the LIVE stage as well as a video EP from the Prodigy and full live classic concerts from Run DMC and rock legends ZZ Top".

There will also be a 'film stage' that will offer a four minute Avatar trailer that "will be available exclusively on Xbox for 5 days giving fans the ultimate glimpse of the movie."

Finally, Silver members will get a weekend of full online multiplayer gaming for free.
