No Half-Life 2 Ep 3 for 2010 or Ever?
Rumour arise of death of series but what of Gordon?
According to Game Informer (via sixthaxis), "not only is a third and rumoured final episode of the popular game unlikely to release in 2010, they’re claiming the expected Episode 3 might not release at all."
Right now that's about all anybody's got and from here on in it's total assumption that Valve will head straight into Half-Life 3 or whatever the next game is likely to be called.

i might be on my own here, but while i liked halflife two back in da day!, i much prefer L4D and TF2 so my advice woudl be just keep pumping the good stuff forget HalafLife 3 until sometime never.

Certainly a lot of people seem to think that Episode 3 will be dropped and they will be jumping straight to Half Life 3 instead - and I'd have to agree that it seems like a possibility given that Episode 3 seems to far from delivery.
While all the news sites today seem to be saying that Episode 3 won't be out in 2010, that would leave it open for HL3 by the end of the year.. am I hoping for too much?
@Haritori I can see where you are coming from but I guess it depends on what they would do with HL3 to make it interesting again... Valve aren't exactly the type to just do the same thing they did with HL2 (and episodes) but with prettier graphics, if they are in fact going straight to HL3 then I'm sure they will have enough in it to justify it.... I just wouldn't put any money on their being online coop though ;)
