We spoke to Final Fantasy XIII's Yoshinori Kitase recently, but fans will soon be able to meet him in person at the game's official launch party in London. HMV will be hosting the shindig on the 9th March, where fans can meet Kitase-san as well as art director Isamu Kamikokuryo.

Festivities kick off at 5.30pm at HMV's Oxford Circus store (150 Oxford Street, London, W1D1DJ), with a photo call just after 6pm for those who decide to come along in Final Fantasy cosplay. The first 50 dress-ups will bag themselves a FFXIII soundtrack, and all attendees will have a chance to win some goodies too.

You can even ask the Square Enix developers questions about the game or the series if you fancy - we're sure he'd love to hear more comments about a Final Fantasy VII remake. Maybe he'll actually do it, if we all banded together and asked in unison. Nothing quite like an audio tidal wave to get your point across.

maybe someone there will have the balls to ask why they thought it needed "westernizing" (of course we know it's because of the 360 but I wanna see what they have to say), I had my doubts at first but watching the trailer it seems to work.

"westernizing " in what way ?? wrpgs are open world free roaming affairs like oblivian , fallout 3, and dragon age while from what i hear this ff is as linear as it gets. and the more action orientated gameplay is nothing new , starocean has had a more realtime action based battle system for years as has the tales series hell even vagrant story did which is another sqaure title and none of these games were accused of westernizing , and the story is the sort of typical grandoise epic jrpg stuff we were to expect, and all they've seemed to change is their ability to make the main character as effeminate and annoying as possible which they' ve done for the last two main games x & xii i really didnt think they could top tidus but managed it with vaan . if it was westernized he wouldnt be making statements defending it against western reviews . im not a fanboy i like wrpgs and jrpgs theres room for both and hey we all need a bit of diversity :-)
