The fantastic Mario Kart: Super Circuit has taken the number 1 spot in the UK all-format charts, seeing off Capcom’s Code Veronica X after that title spent only one week at the top spot.

This will come as excellent news for Nintendo and will go some way in reassuring company shareholders that retro rehashes can result in big returns in the modern market.
