Microsoft has announced that it has shifted the dates and venue of its X01 Xbox showcase due to political instability following recent terrorist attacks in America.

The Xbox showcase, believed by many to be the largest Xbox line-up ever, has been shifted from its original North African location to the politically stable Cannes in the south of France, with playable version of the Xbox Tokyo Game Show line-up expected. The new dates are confirmed as the 16th and 17th of October.

In attendance will be a huge assortment of games industry types, from CEOs of publishing houses to little old us.
