With Dreamcast production now ceased, American retail still has a few consoles left to tempt eager punters with a small budget. What better way to do this than drop the price of the 128-bit console to an unbelievable $49.95? That’s just £35!

For the few hardcore gamers that are missing out on Sega’s last console, now is the time to make that purchase. You have no excuse. Cheap, clean hardware with a massive library of A-list titles. For those of you who need your memory jogging, here’s what’s on offer, games-wise.

Shenmue
Virtua Tennis 2
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Quake 3
Soul Calibur
Phantasy Star Online
Ecco the Dolphin
Crazy Taxi 2
18 Wheeler
House of the Dead 2
Sonic Adventure 2
Metropolis Street Racer
Samba de Amigo
Marvel vs Capcom 2

Now, get online and get that Dreamcast ordered.

If you want to wait a while, there is a strong possibility that Sega Europe will drop the UK price of the console to £50, and the Christmas run-up is the ideal timeframe to make to that move.

We’ll let you know as soon as it happens, if it happens.
