Activision and id Software have confirmed that Doom III, the massively anticipated first-person shooter, will be available to play at this year’s E3.
Working on a new FPS engine developed by id, Doom III “…will change what people expect to see and experience in a PC game,” according to company CEO Todd Hollenshead.
Last year at E3, id showed Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the first time, and although it was received well at the show, many were dissatisfied with the game after release.
Full coverage from E3 later this month.
