Return to Castle Wolfenstein
We have the first details of QuakeCon, id Software’s annual games showcase, to be held in Mesquite, Texas between 15th and 18th of August at the Mesquite Convention Center.
This year will see two main LAN tournaments take place, one for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and one for Quake 3. The Wolfenstein winners will receive $25,000 with the Quake 3 winners walking away with $20,000. All money comes in the form of sponsorship from graphics card manufacturers, ATI.
ATI has also promised to show its latest next-generation graphics card for the first time.
As well as a fully playable build of Doom III, attendees will also be the first to hear the official id line on Quake 4, about which the firm has remained alarmingly tight-lipped.
Expect full coverage from the event, right here.
