Konami has announced its intention to release an interactive documentary chronicling the production of Metal Gear Solid 2: The Sons of Liberty called The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2. Accordingly, the disc, for PlayStation 2, will feature two distinct sections, a ’Making-of’ section and a VR Training section.

The ’Making-of’ section will feature an in-depth look into the production of the monster-hit sneak-em-up and will include fully browsable character profiles, 3D models of vehicles in the game, pre-production sketches, 3D maps of the game environments, including the inside of Arsenal Gear, detailed cutscene editing tools, full item lists, promotional footage and much more.

The VR Training section will give PlayStation 2 owners the chance to play five training missions from the Xbox version of MGS2, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance.

Expect to see The Document of Metal Gear Solid in the shops before Christmas.
