We were lucky enough to meet with Capcom producers Koji Nakajima and Yoshihiro Sudo over the weekend, as they were showing the excellent Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

During a general discussion about character selection for fighting games, the immortal Strider cropped up. Sudo is the man behind the excellent Strider 2 and has been instrumental in his inclusion in recent Capcom outings.

Then, to our surprise, Nakajima said, “We would like to see Strider made in 3D. Sudo-san would like to see the game on Xbox. It has not gone into development yet, but it might do at some point in the future.”

This impressive revelation was the highlight of our ECTS this year. Just remember where you heard it first.

I kinda new Capcom would have something lined up for Strider. 09 will be Strider's 20th anniversary, and to celebrate anniversaries, Capcom usual look to repay fans and update certain games.

Megaman and Street Fighter have had their turns, so I'd be glad to see more Strider. Perhaps we may get a Live/PSN release of Strider/Strider 2, then a full game for 360, PS3 etc.

Go Capcom.

Yeah, I was going to say that.

Then I remember what Strider 2 was like when it came to PS1.

Yeah, i think I missed Strider 2, so it'd be nice to get another chance at it.

I bet Capcom will release them onto Live/PSN. Bionic Commando, SF2, Megaman 9, have all been doing well for them so they'd be dumb not to. SSF2THD will likely clean house too.

Can hardly wait for some more MvsC2, how's the game shaping up on PSN/Live?
