At yesterday evening’s unveiling of Sony Europe’s PlayStation 2 online game range, we happened to notice something of great interest. Lying atop a debug PS2, was a mastered SCE disc entitled, Gran Turismo Micra Edition complete with Nissan branding.

Understandably intrigued, we endeavoured to find out more and were told this morning that Polyphony has edited out all the cars from a build of GT Concept, and added the mighty Nissan Micra!

This can then be used for simulation purposes at events, in dealerships and so on.

However, what is interesting is Polyphony’s understanding with the notoriously license-conscious car world. As you may know, this move follows cut-down versions of GT licensed out to Toyota dealerships around the world.
