Following yesterday’s news that Sega will include several of Sonic’s GameGear outings within the upcoming GameCube remake of Sonic Adventure, the full list of what we can expect to find has been released by Sonic Team boss Yuji Naka.

An amazing ten games have been included, some of which even we didn’t get around to playing when they were released. The full list reads:

Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonic and Tails
Sonic and Tails 2
Sonic Labyrinth
Sonic Drift
Sonic Drift 2
G-Sonic
Tails Sky Patrol
Tails Adventure

Although we are retro Sega-obsessed girlfriend-less geeks, surely no one can deny the massive appeal of playing ten, yes, that’s ten complete Sega games.

Exactly what this means for the future of Sonic Mega Collection, believed to be rolling into a series of remake compilations for GameCube, remains to be seen.

What’s more, Sega must be under enormous pressure from Nintendo to keep quiet over the fact that Sonic Adventue DX, along with several other Sonic outings, including the leaked Sonic Hero, will eventually be made for both PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Sega stated several months ago that, as of 2003, all of its key franchises, and specifically Sonic the Hedgehog and Virtua Fighter, must be released on all formats to maximise profits and ensure Sega’s survival.
