Several prominent Japanese sources are claiming that a “conference of utmost significance” has been suddenly scheduled to take place in Tokyo tomorrow in Japan.

According to several news outlets, the topics for discussion will be Sony Computer Entertainment’s revenue planning and strategies for PlayStation 2, as well as “future gaming hardware systems.”

Now this could be one of three things. It could be an amazing preview of PlayStation 3 and PSP, showing rolling software and hardware designs for both machines. It could be a super boring financial conference in which Sony lead magician Ken Kutaragi makes some mystical hardware claims supported by a PowerPoint presentation. Or it could be nothing at all.
