Finally, Mastertronic’s time has come again. Andy Payne and Paul Patterson have decided to put Mastertronic back on the map, sharing the same budget ethos as their forefathers. £1.99 games are unlikely, but we can surely expect some relative bargains. While the gaming industry has recently been criticised for making games too big, which has in turn slowed the rate of consumption, the resurrected Mastertronic brand seems poised to take us ‘back to basics’.
There’s sure to be more news once the company gets up and running later this year.
