Given that Killer 7 was revealed as part of the ‘MegaTon’ announcement almost exactly a year ago, when Capcom revealed five games proclaimed to be GameCube exclusive, it comes as a shock this morning to see the release date the game has been given by Nintendo.

According to Nintendo’s official release schedule, Killer 7 will not be shipping in the USA until June 30, 2004, with some predicting that the actual date may be as far away as Christmas.

And speaking to Capcom Europe this morning, our worst fears were confirmed. “It’s looking like this time next year as far as we know,” we were told by a spokesman.

Oh well, at least, erm, you know, it’s something to look forward to, we suppose.

More crushing game slippage news as it breaks.
