According to widespread rumour on the Net, Capcom has started development on a successor to its brilliant yet underrated GameCube platformer, Viewtiful Joe.

So far, Capcom remains tight-lipped on the subject, neither confirming nor denying the rumour. It has also been speculated that the game will be officially unveiled at this May's E3 and that it will hit the shops in time for Christmas, possibly on both GameCube and PS2.

Here's hoping. We'll keep you posted.

Underrated indeed. And over looked. And proper hard!

A sequel would be good though - just hope they make it a little easier.

I'm still trying to get past the chopper at the end of level one.

How pathetic am I?

Still, it's fabulous looking game and plays wonderfully.

Viewtiful news. Viewtiful Joe is a mad game, a work of sentai show, inspired genius only the japanese know how to do, and thoroughly deserves a sequel. It's very unlikely we'd ever see a game like it come out of the U.K or elsewhere, since 2D is dead apparently.

There was a japanese version recently re-released with an easy mode that the U.K version is void of. You should have no problems then enjoying all the game has to offer.
