Electronic Arts have confirmed that, in celebration of Ultima Online’s 7th birthday this summer, it will be releasing a special compilation pack. Containing a re-worked version of the original Ultima Online as well as Ultima IX: Ascension, it should be a good value package for newcomers to the series. All the original expansion packs are also being thrown into the deal, so The Second Age, Renaissance, Third Dawn, Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge and Age Of Shadows should add plenty more longevity.
There might even be enough extras to warrant attention from fans that already own all the Ultima games and add-ons. EA will provide a collector’s edition of the Ultima Fan Guide as well as other bits and pieces. No specific release date has been confirmed yet, but seeing as the original was released on the 30th of September, that would certainly be a sensible time to launch its anniversary special!

Cool, are these out on Xbox and PS2 also then? Maybe not, oh well. Cheers EA.
