Following on from our news earlier this day reporting the confusion surrounding the possible use of the GameCube broadband adapter by Mario Tennis, we have been contacted by an NCL Japan spokesman who offered the following:

“As announced at E3, Mario Tennis is a game for between one and four players. The game does not support the Nintendo GameCube Broadband Adapter in any way.”

So there you have it. We have learned that this arose as a result of an admin error somewhere within the mechanism of Nintendo America’s official website.

I thought you could use GC online with Broadband and software called WarpPipe, which hooks your GC up and runs it via some a pc WarpPipe software.

Apparently this is supposed to work with u.s. copies of Mario Kart Double Dash and 1080 Snowboarding. Look at www.nphiles.com for more details on WarpPipe.

Hurry up at sort out the online thing Nintendo. You muppets. LOL

Darn...and I was really looking foward to four-on-four tennis.

Also, this is probably the first time Nintendo has ever been called "muppets".
