Interesting news breaking this morning sees Outrun 2 for Xbox finally confirmed for a release in the United States, following months of Sega’s ‘for Europe only’ official stance.

The game will be published by Microsoft, following the completion of the port, currently underway at the UK’s very own Sumo Studios, meaning that Sega will have no practical involvement in the release – a strange series of events that typifies the ever-widening mystery under which modern-day Sega insists on operating.

No word yet on a Japanese release either – stay tuned.

This game looks hot. Nice to get a sweet update at last. You lucky Xbox people. Now where is Daytona? We need that and some online action.
