The best console mod ever?
Well, yes, clearly… Just look at that!
Posted 2 Feb 2005

The latest thing our girlfriends won’t let us spend money on from eBay is perhaps the single greatest console modification our humble SPOnG eyes have ever been lucky enough to behold.
It’s essentially an Xbox recrafted to reside within the pokey confines of a 1979 Star Wars Millennium Falcon model- an astonishing feat of electronic jiggerypokey, and is fully loaded with new hard disc et al.
The full rap sheet for this bad boy reads:
PAL UK/240V ver 1.6B XBOX
4 X docking mandible gamepad ports
Cockpit mounted on/eject buttons
Underside mounted RJ45 Ethernet socket
6 fan hyper-drive cooling system
Concealed Samsung DVD drive
80Gb Western digital H/D
Blue LCD Display can be configured to display own text.
2x blue docking laser LEDs /3x white landing laser LEDs
user guide
1 X Gamester FPS Master control pad.
1 X Crystal gamepad.
SCART lead.
Power lead.
We feel it’s also worth of mention for the wondrous custom paint job applied by its genius creator.
And at a mere £800, we really can’t see any reasonable girlfriend complaining. Holidays are boring anyway…

'Bet it can't do the Kessel run in twelve parsecs with an Xbox in it!
I don't know if it's funny or tragic I just said that. I must clean myself.

Yeah, but we're not covering it's existance, which is mundane.
We're covering the factt hat it's on eBay, and YOU could own it if you were rich/sad enough ;-)
And it's wasn't a slow news day, Stef was moving house, so he didn't bother coming to work. And the rest of the SPOnG staff have flu.

Doc, ignore anyone who ever says it's a slow news day - they still read the stories, I see..
