Blue Gaming, But Still the Pink is Not Spread

Like the iDog. And pink gaming consoles! So it is with our hearts at a day record low we read the news that the pink DS, as sneakily previewed last month, still has no date for release anywhere in the world.
So we are indeed stuck with the shameful silver DS for some time. Hope shines from the west on this slow news day however, with Nintendo of America dating the 'not pink' Electric Blue DS for June 3.
The machine will be no different to the current 'not pink' version, although it will come with a blue DS pictured on the box. Probably.
Anyway, here’s a glib corporate message from Paul McCartney. “This eye-catching new colour comes at an ideal time," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Nearly 2 million Nintendo DS owners in North America alone have demonstrated they want something new from a hand-held video game system. Soon, consumers will have two popular choices for the innovative dual-screened Nintendo DS, which features touch-screen control, voice recognition and wireless play."
Thanks Ringo!

How much is too much crack?
But in the mortal (and Bill Hicks derivative) words of Denis Leary, I would never do a drug named after a part of my own ass, okay?

Spong rambling articles are hard to decipher, some readers may need cannabis to brake the code.
Other articles are like Famitsu ones, which some time are lost in translation, cause it looks like spong has its own language.

Blue is the new white dudes. What a load of b******s. It looks okay. I'd have to opt for this or the black one.

One thing Nintendo should be looking at is bringing out the pink version and it will be most interesting to see if they do or not outside of japan. With PSP on the horizon such a move could stimulate sales for female non gamers. Add Puppy Times to that equation and DS sales this xmas will be very interesting indeed.
I'll be watching like a hawk to see they give us every other colour but the pink DS.

The Colour Revolution Continues
The sad thing about Nintendo is that they create really nice colour consoles and then either never release them or pull them.
I wanted a sand-coloured Gamecube. Hell, I would have paid extra for a sand-coloured Gamecube. However Nintendo decided to pull it leaving behind the black and purple colours only.
The Blue DS looks quite good. I'm not sure which colour I'd go for - I'd have to see all the consoles "in the flesh".
The next colour due is a semitransparent DS.
