Super Doom 3 for PlayStation 3
It’s like being back in 1989!

26 Sept 2005
Remember when everything released on the NES was updated for the Super NES and called Super something? Well, it’s happening again, thanks to John ‘Killing Game’ Carmack.
Speaking in a recent interview, Carmack said, “One idea we've been sort of tossing around that is just a random idea is possibly doing some kind of super edition of the Doom 3 stuff for the PS3. It's something that we'd kind of like to do," he told US magazine Game Informer.
So to proclaim Super Doom 3 for PlayStation 3 is not entirely accurate, we guess. “…sort of tossing around that is just a random idea is possibly doing some kind of…” is perhaps the vaguest comment on any game we’ve ever read; depressing, we know.
As ever with the big issues, keep an eye out, and we’ll bring you updates as required.

But look at it another way. When did iD ever shy away from tossing the same old stuff out on another platform for the chance to make a fast buck?
Looks like it's nailed on to me!

So it's basically just going to be Doom 3 with better graphics and mediocre controls, right? Impressive.
