The source of the leak is unknown, though it should be noted that the code in circulation right now is the PAL release. It is widely assumed that one of EA's recently-dismissed 350 staff members stuck in the proverbial knife as a leaving gift to his or her former employer.
Should the story unfold any further than this, we'll keep you updated. As to how major publishers will tackle such aggressive attacks from their inner circles remains to be seen.

A lesson in how to leave a company a bang? Despite EA's dodgy working hours, this also hurts any former workmates. However I still believe Black will sell loads despite illegal downloads floating around.
People will look for it to buy because it's the work of Criterion of Burnout fame, and secondly because while downloads might work, they have no trade in value at Gamestation and Game.

Sadly enough, It wasn't an EA staffer who leaked the game. A few stores in Europe broke the release date, and somebody bought it and burned it.
