I went through and counted the amount of titles for each of the handhelds, because that's what I cover. So far it looks like this.

Confirmed titles.
Nintendo DS = 26 confirmed titles.
Nintendo GBA = 16 confirmed titles.
Sony PSP = 12 confirmed titles.

Although, I could have sworn that I got a press release in the mail from Nokia a few weeks back stating they had seven new titles for the NGage to show at E3.

Also, Tiger Teletronics is supposed to show off about ten Gizmondo titles. I wonder if Nokia and Tiger will admit it and shuffle into Kentia Hall this year in shame.

The list is really flawed as no mention of DK: King of Swing is up there, also Natsume said they'll show off Harvest Moon DS. Nintendo already said ElectroPlankton would be there, and I'm sure more than 12 PSP titles have been confirmed, Hell. Isn't Bomberman for the PSP and the DS supposed to be there? Also missing is the Full Metal Alchemist DS game from SquareEnix, Before Crisis for the PSP from SquareEnix... GTA for PSP from Rockstar, etc. But it is IGN....

yeah ign who dont work mondays because of course the rest of the gaming world doesnt work mondays either. I thought journalism was supposed to be 24/7?
There will be more games at E3 than this, remember companies like to show some surprise titles.

That videogame editors and reviewers arent bribed by Microsoft?
Proof: IGN X-BOX review Jade Empire 9.9

i think when it comes down to it the editors at ign are probably not bribed but they are guilty of being over enthusiastic in regards to the xbox because it is the All American Machine.
It is probably a patriotic thing, the Japanese still produce the best stuff though.
In a way microsoft embodies the American Dream, because they both want world domination.
I am just a simple Brit, and if other countries do things better than us then i say well done to them.

Wow Sony and Microsoft's showings are really garbage, and the third-party stuff isn't even that great. While this makes the Nintendophile inside me scream for joy, I'm assuming they're both banking on their next Gen's. But with the Xbox having it's eMpTVdebut, they must really be snuffing the E3. God what arrogant @$$holes, I don't see how any of you can support these bastards and their "colony".

The only real "Surprise" on the spoiler free list is Perfect Dark Zero for next gen. At least for me.

I don't support those microsoft pricks and f**k their colony. Saying that the xbox 360 shouldn't be shown at a trade show when that's how it's been done for 15 years.

Dude.. Relax, your Sony fanboyism is becoming borderline psychotic. Microsoft desire to take over the industry is only pushing Sony and Nintendo to try harder, and that means better games for us. i said the same thing about Sony when they came out.

I am a big Nintendo fan, i always have been so naturally i want them to still be in the business and i am hoping for something good from them at E3. I am already pleased with the DS so i remain optomistic.
Saying that i do like sony, i used to have a PS2, i am not a total fanboy who sticks to one company. But as for Microsoft, there is nothing there which interests me.
Its important to keep an open mind because you never know when you might play something and think "yeah that was fun".
It is true what Iwata says though, improved graphics and realism isnt the answer. I want that feeling i got when i played Zelda for the first time or when i bought my N64 and played Mario 64. The DS has made me feel that way again. Lets hope that revolution can be the same.
Believe me Nintendo have a few tricks up their sleeve which we will probably see at E3 in a month's time.
As for the others, i keep an open mind.

I had a Gamecube and I was completely anti-Xbox until the first time I played halo and Xbox Live. I've had friends round since who played Halo and then went out and bought their own XBox. The machines ok too I guess.

My thoughts are similar to yours Ann0uk. We know we want good stuff but keeping an open mind is best.

I do agree with something Nintendo said ages ago about not relying on too much on graphics and more concentration on gameplay is needed.

I noticed this during the point when graphics in games really started to get good on consoles with N64 and PS1. They keep getting better and better on consoles to the point I'm wondering what will happen after Xbox2, PS3 etc. Will we again need new machines and how will this be justified next time?

I'm all for giving developers freedom to make great games but sometimes too much freedom can get you lost. As you get lost beauiful graphics and spec it becomes easier to hide bad gameplay.

X-box has some good games.. but not as many as I’d like to see, personally the games I like on Xbox are as follows:

Halo 1-2
Fable
Jade Empire
Knights of the Old Republic
Splinter Cell 1-3
Rainbow Six 3
Dead Or Alive Ultimate

And then there are a few games like outrun that I have fun with and some others that escape my memory at the time.. but out of a library or over 400 games.. to only have 10 or 15 great games is crappy. If I had to choose sides, I would say my allegiance lies with Nintendo, because they seem to be the only company out there now that hasn’t succumb to the sell out method of mass producing “its cool to be black”-thug life hip hop games about 50 cent or snoop dog busting caps into random pedestrians. I hate that s**t. They make fun, quality games that entertain me when I am bored without trying to sell me anything. Although I’d have to say my fondest gaming moments of all time are probably on Playstation One. Chrono cross, Metal gear Solid, even.. spyro were all extremely fun the first time I played them, back when they were original concepts. Playstation 2 is also an awsome system, its got alot of good stuff on it. I pretty much like all 3 systems that are out now. But I think X-box has the least ammount of quality content, and Gamecube has almost no 3rd party support

I agree with you on the current trend of Boyz N da Hood type gangster games. GTA SA, 25 to Life, etc etc it's getting so tired already. The games industry is worrying too much about money and numbers and less about the content that put it where it is today.

Sure one or two are okay to feed hungry gamers but it's silly when this type of cheesy gaming is being created over more deserving concepts.

It's another sign of where this industry is heading when 50 Cent gets his own game just beecause he's the latest thing. The games industry is on the fast track to becoming the movie and music industries bottom bitch.

Nintendo I feel are the last true bastion of gaming in an industry slowly being consumed by itself. Everyone is falling for the illusion that you have to be a gangster to have fun which isn't true.
