Erm, unless my eyes are wonky, the eject button doesn't match-up on the two images.

Using the 'Memory Unit A' slot as a point of reference the first one is upright like a PC tower, and the second is laid down like a VCR.

But on both images the Eject button's arrow is pointing upwards.

Surely one of them should have the arrow pointing to the side?

is that only 1 controller port in that picture?
is that what they mean about having multiplayer online games. basically if you are not online then no multiplayer??

No, what you see in the picture is an Infered Port. (Possible for the DVD remote control).

The Xbox 360 controllers are meant to be wireless, (though I suspect that the closed compartment at the front right of the console might house 2 ports for the original Xbox controllers).

It's built in wireless controls - there's NO controller port.

If this is indeed the final design, subtle differences could be explained by these simply being early mockups before the thing goes into mass production.

I'm still waiting for the MTV event though.

I suppose it's because you can turn it around, you know like ps logo on ps2.Other than that i really like the design kind of sturdy and very futuristic...nice!

I don't want to sound rude but i got a 10 year old VCR that looks better then this... looks more like one of those cheap brands that break if you sneeze on it...but the green power button makes up for it...well a bit.

These aren't the same pieces kit. One of them seems to have a 40GB hard drive attached, judging by the display on the LCD readout and is a lot thicker than the upright front elevation shot, which lacks the hump on the side view shot.

And if it truly lacks ANY wired gamepad support it better have chargers supplied with the gamepads because I'll be buggered if I'm forced to use rechargable AA's all the time just to make sure battery failure doesn't occur midgame.

This leak begs more questions than it answers.

There no way that button could be spun around like the PS2 logo - the recess is shaped to fit and will only accomodate it one way.

My guess would be that they are very slight variations on the same design.

Do you have an image or a link to your better looking 10yr old VCR, then..?
I think it looks OK. Miles better than the X-brick (which isn't hard), so what more do you want?

Well one is silver and the other is beige! Could be different versions of the design.

What further supports the idea of two slightly different designs is the fact that the font used on the memory card slots on both machines are different.

One is a photo from an assets disc dished out to specialist press. The other is a snap taken of the hardware. The button is something of a mystery, though current thinking lends weight to the multiple version theory. Remember Allard mentioned changable fascias too...

I agree, upon closer examination there's no doubt these two are different versions. If vertical standing shot is of the basic model then my guess is it's about 1/2 xbox size which is good.Other pic is so close you can't tell its real dimensions.Mightas well have other slight variations we cant see.
