Yes, what would be cool is if the revolution controller used both haptics and gyroscopics!

That is called total awesomeness! :-D

You think that's the ONLY time SPOnG has been wrong?

Come on. Do you forget when SPOnG claimed that they knew, "for a fact", that there would be a GameBoy Evolution at GDC or E3? We never got one.

SPOnG claimed Metroid Prime Hunters would feature 'Halo-style deathmatches' and all kinds of game modes you guys listed. Yes, Nintendo has NOW announced its only, but they only achieved this by bumping back the date; meaning that, for the original launch date, at the time SPOnG posted the article, Metroid Prime Hunters was NOT going to be online.

SPOnG's track record has a lot of holes in it. I read it anyway, but I don't try to pretend it is always right.

You really need to re-read the Game Boy piece. We knew there would be a new Game Boy at E3. We were the only people to know and report on this - As we said all along, we didn't know what - everything else was speculation. Read the pieces.

MPH? What are you talking about? The game was the flagship online title...

Read again. SPOnG never, ever asserted that Nintendo would ever release a "GameBoy Evolution". In fact, SPOnG has never uttered that term in any news article. I've just checked.

SPOnG wrote that a "new model" of GameBoy Advance, a "Game Boy Advance 2" as we put it, would be at E3.

I think you're demonstrating perfectly what somebody else brought up in this thread; the propensity for forum dwellers to read other poster's ramblings and assume they were the very words written by a publication.

Ha! So let me get this straight; you're saying that SPOnG ran a story about MPH featuring full on-line play, and now that Nintendo have announced this, using it as an excuse for delay, SPOnG is responsible for fabricating the whole thing?

For fsck's sake!

You cannot take the words of a PR drone as being entirely true. Example. Which of the following sounds more encouraging to you;

1. Metroid Prime Hunters has been delayed because we're behind on the development schedule.

2. Metroid Prime Hunters has been delayed so we can add full on-line play functions.

Grant Turismo 4 was delayed in order for Polyphony to complete the on-line play, and that game was release, after further delay, without it!

SPOnG's track record has a lot of holes in it. I read it anyway, but I don't try to pretend it is always right.

I don't deny it. We have holes, but they're old ones from our early editorial days, and we're doing our utmost to fix them. Unfortunately, we cannot aim to break stories built on insider info and have the actual events match up 100%, all of the time. However, we categorically DO NOT fabricate stories, as put about by those who'd like to see the back of SPOnG.

Has been announced by Nintendo today in Europe.
Offering that piece as us being wrong is utterly astonishing. It's, you know, us being 100% correct.
