LOL! o man I want you to dig up how many times those other sites got their info wrong, compared to you, right now im not going to say you lied but that fact remains you put something up you knew would draw attention to this site, and again since you knew the news before us, you have made the mistake of not changing the article you posted back on friday, and the article did lead many to believe the news was PS3 releated, and that the fact E3 was mostly about PS3 and not PS2, yes this news came way out of left field actually it came out of the freaking ball park. Next time dont do things like this again.

I really don't see the big problem here, to my flawed understanding it went down like this.

1. Sony annouces announcements
2. SPOnG reports announcements being announced and uses PS3 picture
3. First announcement is pink PS2
4. Major hissyfits ensue from unknown sources for no good reason (Sony fanboys, IGN partisans, both?)

Uh no, they said first thing in the morning right, if they knew the news friday about something dealing with the PS3, why didnt they post it already, instead they put something about a pink PS2 on there.

I didn't write the story, I have no knowledge on it at all. I'm only going by what could have happened to the story. It's no good coming at me all aggressive as if I'm a one-man band of SPOnG, lol.

See, unlike most people, I tend to humour possibilities. I'm not a complete fanboy that goes salivating over news as soon as it happens, so when something is said and it doesn't happen, I tend not to get too worked up about it.

You were happy to dismiss my very valid point on the Megaton. Fanboys (only not of Sony such as the people here [besides myself], but of Nintendo) completely tied to the idea that Nintendo could have bought out companies, or had brand new games in the pipeline or whatever. It wasn't true and people started destroying themselves (though not literally XD). Was it not true that other sites posted about the Megaton and in fact made their own rumours just to get page hits? The only difference between that and SPOnG was that, to my knowledge, I know SPOnG would have checked the facts and that there was some element of truth in there the whole time.

This is a very similar thing, only different circumstances. I may not have written the article or known anything of what was said, but I know the people who write the articles here. And you know as well as I do what might have happened. We're in the same boat on this one. The difference is, that I know SPOnG wouldn't intentionally lie, and I know for a fact they check up on publishers and developers before acting on rumour (or, as this case might be, starting one).

So because of this, possibilities. Maybe the writers got their facts mixed up. Maybe Sony lied (after all, wasn't the PS2 and PS3 going to be infinitely more powerful than they promised months ago/before it was launched? Nah, they couldn't do the same thing again, surely...). Maybe, because we have nobody in Liepzig reporting live at the moment, news is running slow. Maybe it all went tits up.

Who knows. But don't tar us with the same brush as a liar or constant rumour mill. It's strictly incorrect.

Having said that, if Sony's announcements on PS3 and PSP are even so much as uttered over the next week or two, I will chuckle. With glee. At people who couldn't wait. :)

Pretty much, PreciousROI. I'm not exactly going to say anything else on whether the story or us is right or wrong, because at the moment who really knows. But the crux of the matter is, this has been blown completely out of proportion by the Sony fanboy elite.

And because I said it somewhere inbetween what I said last and it might get lost - we don't have anyone in Leipzig - at least actively. Someone will be there on our behalf, but considering they're freelance it's likely they have countless other things to worry about. Hence, no update as of yet. If the news is indeed true.

Sooooooo, as I was saying originally, let's all wait and see. Which many of you don't seem to be doing, jumping on the "hate SPOnG" bandwagon. How original. :)

O dont worry i can wait a year for some new news to come I dont care, and I never said you posted the article, but again since your defending it with your life it still makes you look bad instead of admitting it was some type of mistake. But like I said, im going to wait and see if any more news comes out today from this site regarding the PS3, if not then I guess this was infact the "BIG" announcement from this site.
