Summary

World Snooker Championship Season 2007-08 is brought to us by the videogame world's number one snooker development studio, Blade Interactive, therefore it has much pedigree. The game includes a mind-boggling 96 professional snooker players, including Ronnie O'Sullivan, Graeme Dott, Peter Ebdon, Neil Robertson, John Higgins and Steve Davis (or should that be Nicole Kidman?). There are nine official licensed Championship events from the Snooker season, including the Welsh Open, the Grand Prix, the UK Championship, The Masters, The China Open, The World Championship and more, so longevity for your cash outlay is not an issue. There are thousands of hours of exciting gameplay in here, featuring mind-boggling trick-shots and a host of minigame challenges.

Using the DS stylus, players are able to control the cueball in a unique way - something genuinely not seen in a snooker title before. The cue is the stylus and vice versa. All you have to do now is choose which superstar cue-meister you'd like to play as. Each one has their own strengths just as in real life. The dual screen format of DS displays both the full 3D view of the action on one screen and a top down perspective on the other screen. All the action is watched over and commented on by the BBC's voice of snooker, John Virgo.
