Summary

American PBS star, bastion of good will and all round nice guy Mister Rogers allegedly carried a note in his pocket his whole life that said, "There isn t anyone you couldn t love once you ve heard their story." Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek aims to put that idea to the test in a surprising turn for last year's stealth-'em-up, Hello Neighbor.

That game had an elevator pitch that could be roughly summed up as 'Home Alone meets Resident Evil 7'. The Neighbor was setting up something dastardly and you got into a cat and mouse game that took you through a series of murderous suburban death traps. It's surprising, then, that for the follow-up developer tinyBuild has taken a dive into the Neighbor's past to experience the events leading up to the first game and it's an emotional, poignant story.

You take on the role of one of his children playing a game of hide and seek with her brother while dealing with the loss of a family member. It might not be for the faint of heart, but it does promise to serve up some insight into one of the most compelling villains in recent video games history.

Will you empathise with him, or is he a man even Mister Rogers couldn't love? You'll have to play Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek to find out.
