Summary

Created by developer Toybox and publisher Arc System Works and boasting talent from the likes of BLAZBLUE and Deadly Premonition, Worldend Syndrome has a strong pedigree for fans of Japanese gaming. The game is a visual novel that straddles the romance and mystery genres, transporting you to a Japanese seaside town with more than its fair share of both beauty and supernatural intrigue.

In the game, you take control of a 17 year-old high school student who has moved to the coastal Mihate Town after a tragedy has wreaked havoc on his life. For all the sadness in his backstory, however, things seem to be looking up. He attends the local high school and joins the 'Tribal Studies Club', aka the Mystery Club, and begins to make friends. The club begins investigating a myth that claims once a century one of the dead comes back as a 'Yomibito' to visit evil on the townsfolk, and that's where things start to unravel...

It's up to you to explore the town and guide the actions of our hero. While the mystery drives events forwards, romance is front and centre too. There are five girls for you to court and each has multiple endings. Only by following each of the five gameplay routes will you be able to solve the mystery and save the town!
