Despite what many perceive as poor sales, Take-Two president Ben Feder has said that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is living up to expectations.
"It's meeting our expectations. We're very happy with it. It's the best-rated game ever on the DS platform. We think that's a great success", Feder told GameSpot.
Asked whether Rockstar will ever make another M-rated game for the DS, however, Feder would only say, "We're partnering with Nintendo in all sorts of ways, but we make those decisions on a case-by-case basis."
The game débuted at Number 6 in the UK All Formats Charts and rapidly sank through the rankings. Similarly, it sold only 89,000 units in the US in its first month of sale - well short of analyst predictions that were 250,000 and upwards in some cases.
