Enterbrain boasts over two million readers across its games magazines, with the world's only weekly consumer mag Famitsu claiming a circulation of some 800,000. Meanwhile, the company's marketing and data division provides weekly, monthly and annual reports, plus seminars covering Japan, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
"We are delighted to have signed this deal with Famitsu," said MCV's managing editor Lisa Foster. "The magazine brand and its parent company are highly respected within the global interactive entertainment industry, as well as within the broader financial and media markets. We are extremely pleased that this will not only give us access to the company's influential market data, but that it will also take the MCV brand and our editorial reach to another level."
Enterbrain president Hirokazu Hamamura added: "As the games industry becomes more and more global, the continued growth of the European market becomes of even greater importance to us here in Japan. As such we have very high hopes for the partnering of two market leaders such as MCV – which, through providing highly beneficial information to the European and American markets, continues to be the number one in the industry – and Famitsu, which has helped give birth to the game culture found in Japan today.
"This relationship should bring new vitality to both markets and we at Famitsu welcome this."
Enterbrain today announces its new partnership with MCV at a major financial and media seminar.
