New Phantasy Star Game Coming in 2006
European debut for series on PlayStation platform.
SEGA has announced a new incarnation of its much-admired Phantasy Star series - Phantasy Star Universe – currently in development for PC and PS2 under the guidance of franchise supremo Yuji Naka. In true Phantasy style, a deep, deep gaming experience is promised in both solo and on-line multiplayer modes. The solo adventure itself promises 40+ hours of gameplay, while the on-line experience offers the possibility of years of gameplay for Phantasy veterans and RPG enthusiasts alike.
"From its roots way back in the late eighties, Phantasy Star has become synonymous with quality RPG adventure." says Matt Woodley, European Marketing Director for SEGA Europe, "Now developed as both a single-player and an online multi-player game, Phantasy Star Universe delivers RPG fans their greatest adventure yet."
Phantasy Star Universe is slated for a spring 2006 release throughout Europe.
