Xbox 360 – November 4th launch mooted

Four years on – a new generation set to emerge

Posted by Staff
The ever generative videogame rumour mill is slating the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console for the 4th of November this year, seeing the machine get almost two months of pre-Christmas store time, if true.

The chatter stems from several news sources reporting that Microsoft posted the release date on one of its partner sites, then quickly removed the information, though not before several beady eyes, not least those at Xbox365, had taken a peek.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Microsoft has accidentally posted sensitive information only to remove it. You might remember that in the past a job listing highlighted future plans for Xbox Live, so perhaps this latest reported slip-up has substance.

We will of course, let you know.

That early in November is really good for MS if true. I feel it's really gonna hurt PSP which will only have September and October to itself. I can see 360 cleaning up at xmas, but where is all that shelf space for two more consoles gonna come from?

You're right, all the eyes will be on X360 and sleeper hits will skyrocket on the other platforms. If that badass is shipping in nov-dec let's hope there'll be some minor date changes for games across other platforms to potentially save them from that gruesome death.

Just think of ICO next to MS modest lineup...a sitting horn-duck indeed.

Before/After the fire wave, its their chance.
