Beatles Rock Band: Six Months Legal Work
Contracts signed, read and not moaned about
Unlike the apparent Kurt Cobain and Guitar Hero 5 legal furore it would appear that The Beatles Rock Band had all of its legal wrinkles worked over for months in advance.
According to The Lawyer site, "Partner Nick Valner, who led the Eversheds team on all of the matters, said the raft of agreements, which included name and likeness rights as well as trademark and publishing issues, were particularly complex. “This is the public culmination of around six months of legal work,” Valner added".
Apparently, six months in Beatle world is lightspeed though. We can only imagine what six months legal fees came in at. All that work, and the game still only hit the charts at Number 4.
